Appenino's sheeps
Origin and diffusion:
Autochtonous Italian race of the provinces of Arezzo, Florence, Grosseto, Siena, Perugia and Terni. Once was considered a race to triplex attitude (milk, wool and meat).
Today you/he/she is raised in Tuscany, Umbria and a lot of regions of the center-southern Appennino, it is the most diffused among the meat races and it furnishes discreet quantities of rather coarse wool (from mattress).
From this race lambs are gotten to 40-50 days of life of 15-17 kgs and heavy lambs to 100 days of the weight of 23-27 kgs.
